Evening Prayer Lord, before I go to sleep, I lay the burdens of the day down at your feet. Because you don’t sleep, I can. It is my act of faith. Take my worries and my fears from me. Thank you for what I experienced today—the good and the hard. Shall I take the good from your hand but not the trouble? (Job 2:10) Redeem all things for your good purposes. You will be faithful to work while I rest. Take the labor of the day, my words, and actions, and do with them what you intend. Let my influence last so far as it brings you honor, the rest, let fade away. Help me let go of hurt and forgive just as you have forgiven me for my many failings today. Restore my strength and courage to face tomorrow. Bless my children with hearts that love you and lives that serve you. Help me treasure my husband who lies next to me as a testimony to your love and care. May we cling to each other until one of us lays the other into your loving arms, Lord Jesus. Help me remember tha
